Fish Hawk Lithium Ultra System
The Fish Hawk Lithium Ultra System is the new standard in trolling-specific electronics. The Ultra, our new flagship system, delivers speed and temperature data from both the surface and at depth. It also transmits the true depth of your downrigger using water pressure. Using Bluetooth® wireless technology, the Lithium Ultra System integrates with Cannon Optimum Downriggers and the Humminbird One-Boat Network, or the Fish Hawk mobile app. This allows access to Fish Hawk data from multiple displays on the boat.
The new, maintenance-free probe is 40% smaller than its predecessor and provides more than a week of fishing time on a single full charge. Fish Hawk's Lithium Series incorporates four decades of experience with the lithium power anglers expect in modern electronics.
Underwater currents make trolling speeds at depth unpredictable. Temperature throughout the water column can change dramatically. Fish Hawk Electronics delivers speed and temperature data at depth to make trolling more efficient and effective. You can’t get this information from traditional fishing electronics.

Fish Hawk X4D System

The Fish Hawk X4D System helps you troll smarter by showing you data directly at your trolling weight. The X4D probe connects to your downrigger cable above the weight and wirelessly transmits the depth, temperature, and speed at your weight to the LCD display. Pair it with your Cannon Optimum electric downrigger to see that data directly on your downrigger, Humminbird, or the mobile app.
The Fish Hawk X4D on the downrigger cable sends critical data from below the surface to the boat. This data helps adjust trolling speed accurately, accounting for underwater currents. For example, while the surface speed might be 2.1 or 2.2 mph, the actual speed below could be different due to currents. This information is crucial for maintaining the desired bait speed, often around 2.6 mph, to attract fish. The data is transmitted via Bluetooth to the Optimum downriggers, allowing real-time adjustments to boat speed to optimize fishing success.

Pairing the Optimum and Fish Hawk
Pairing a Fish Hawk with your master downrigger allows the downrigger to display true running depth, temperature, and speed at your weight, as well as temperature and speed at the surface. This setup requires the Fish Hawk Lithium Ultra or Fish Hawk X4D display and the designated Bluetooth master downrigger.
The Fish Hawk must be paired with the designated Bluetooth master downrigger and the Fish Hawk display must be used.
- Power on the master downrigger by pressing the power button on the downrigger keypad.
- Power on the Fish Hawk display by pressing the power button.
- Once powered on the display will continually transmit and wait for another device to be connected.
- On the master downrigger, press the menu button twice to bring up the settings menu on the LCD screen from the settings menu.
- Use the down button to scroll to the Bluetooth selection and press the right arrow key to open the Bluetooth menu.
- From the Bluetooth menu use the down arrow button to scroll to pair Fish Hawk.
- Select the right arrow key to continue.
- Optimum's LCD will display a pair Fish Hawk screen use the right arrow key to confirm you want to pair to the Fish Hawk.
- While the downrigger is actively searching for a Fish Hawk, a pairing Fish Hawk message will display on the LCD screen.
- Once the pairing is successful a confirmation screen will appear and the Fish Hawk is now successfully paired.
- Once the downrigger is paired to the Fish Hawk, both need to be powered on to sustain communication. Both will also automatically pair once they are powered on.
- If you wish to remove the Fish Hawk from pairing or assign a new master downrigger you must clear the network on the downrigger and re-pair with the new master downrigger.
